»Go Slowly, Sands of Time« (USHLT 1/1) was based on a plot outline for a comic which Barks wrote in 1968 for Danish publisher Gutenberghus. In 1980 Barks expanded his outline to a sort of picture-book story consisting of 12 watercolor paintings with accompanying text for the book »Uncle Scrooge McDuck: His Life & Times«. Independently of this, artist Vicar created a comic-book version based on a script by Tom Anderson which was first published under the title »Vejen til evig ungdom« (D 6856/1) in Danish Anders And & Co. in 1984.
