Donald ist Frachtpilot bei der Anten-Airline [Duckburg Air Service] mit Geheimauftrag, eine Kiste Werkzeuge zum oberen Flußlauf des Mackenzie zu befördern; Dagobert und die Neffen kommen mit. Am Treffpunkt setzt sich ein verängstigter Mann, der vor dem Heulen eines Wolfs flieht, mit Donalds Flugzeug ab. Der Mann hat eine Kiste zurückgelassen, in der die Ducks eine halbfertige Goldstatue von einem Wolf finden. In der Nacht wird die Statuette gestohlen, und sie verfolgen den Dieb zu einem Bergwerk, wo sie einem Riesenwolf begegnen, der auf den Hinterbeinen steht. Zum Glück entpuppt sich die Statue als Amulett zur Abwehr von Werwölfen.

There is a new version drawn by Daan Jippes based on Barks' script. First publication worldwide in Dutch Donald Duck 3-4/99 under the code H98135.
